After a lot of years playing rugby its time for something easier on the body that takes me outside and allows me to create interesting images to share with a broader audience. Photography allows me to capture my vision of a small piece of the natural world through my camera and hopefully the resulting physical images resonate with the viewer.

My “philosophy” is that it is the job of the photographer to interpret the light and capture that understanding through the camera, spending as little time as possible in “post-capture” manipulation. In most cases adjustments are limited to cropping, color balancing and saturation to match my experience in the field. The results are the images in the accompanying galleries.
